De kunstwerken beschrijft ik met “Kunst met Japanse invloeden en natuur”
Mijn werk bestaat voornamelijk uit kleurrijke schilderijen daarbij ook inkttekeningen en afdrukken.
Conceptueel, figuratief met een vleugje abstract, mijn ideeën zijn subtiel weergegeven op het doek.
Voor mij is het mooie van Japan een belangrijk thema, het serene en mysterieuze spreekt mij aan, in samenwerking met de natuur of alleen staand hierin.
Japan heeft zoveel symboliek en gelukbrengers van oudsher, de gevouwen kraanvogeltje, paarden, zwarte katten en de echte kraanvogels. Niet te vergeten de roodborst die een nieuw begin aanduiden en de paarden brachten zonneschijn of juist regen bij de boeren.
De basis is, menselijke genoegens en ongenoegens, dit zet ik om in mijn werk waar dan deze geluksymbolen een plaats innemen. Vooral de gevouwen kraanvogeltjes gebruikt ik veel, het strakke en het vlotte schilderen is een mooie combinatie.
Zo ontstaat er een uniek, bijzonder en vooral positief schilderij, met de nodige emotie om vertedering te voelen of hierover na te denken.
Op geschept papier gebruikt ik inkt, pen en acrylinkt, voor mooie serene tekeningen of linoafdrukken met blockverf. Voor mijn schilderijen gebruikt ik acrylverf op linnen en aluminiumframe en soms met goudverf en bladgoud. Door dit frame is er geen lijst nodig, ook schilder ik over de zijkanten heen voor een mooie afwerking.
Uit mijn geheugen probeer ik te werken, soms kan dit niet en gebruikt ik even een afbeelding en laat het weer los.
Door mijn eigen handtekening aan het geheel te kunnen geven, het moet worden zoals het voor mij de bedoeling is en goed voelt.
Ook heb ik een creatieve opleiding gevolgd maar ook de nodige cursussen en jarenlang uitvinden en opnieuw beginnen tot het uiteindelijk de resultaten krijgt wat ik wilde weergeven.
In opdracht werken is altijd mogelijk maar het moet wel in het gedachtegoed van mij en mijn werk zijn. Alleen de natuur of een mooi portret is bespreekbaar!
Ook exposeer ik in binnen en buitenland.
I describe my artworks as "Art with Japanese influences and nature."
My work consists primarily of colorful paintings, including ink drawings and prints.
Conceptual, figurative, with a touch of abstract, my ideas are subtly rendered on the canvas.
For me, the beauty of Japan is an important theme; its serene and mysterious appeals to me, whether in collaboration with nature or standing alone within it.
Japan has traditionally held so much symbolism and auspiciousness: the folded crane, horses, black cats, and real cranes. Not to forget the robin, which signifies new beginnings, and the horses brought sunshine or rain to the farmers.
The basis is human pleasures and displeasures, which I translate into my work, where these auspicious symbols take center stage. I use the folded cranes in particular frequently; the clean and fluid painting is a beautiful combination.
This creates a unique, special, and above all positive painting, with the necessary emotion to feel tenderness or reflect on it.
On laid paper, I use ink, pen, and acrylic ink for beautiful, serene drawings or lino prints with block paint. For my paintings, I use acrylic paint on linen and an aluminum frame, sometimes with gold paint and gold leaf. Because of this frame, no frame is needed. I also paint over the sides for a beautiful finish.
I try to work from memory; sometimes this isn't possible, so I use an image for a while and then let it go.
By giving my own signature to the whole, it has to be as I intended and feel right.
I also have a creative background, as well as the necessary courses, and years of reinventing and starting over until I finally achieve the results I wanted to portray.
Commissioned work is always possible, but it must be in line with my philosophy and my work. Nature or a beautiful portrait is negotiable!
